ACW F units on parade: The Aberdeen, Carolina & Western is a shortline in North Carolina, operating on 150 miles of track in the sandhills. Purchased from Norfolk Southern and rebuilt from the ground up, the AC&W has turned itself into a very profitable enterprise. Their fleet includes an executive business train, and when Norfolk Southern decided to sell off their F-units, the AC&W snatched them up. While they have operated east on the railroad several times, in September 2022, the AC&W operated the Fs west to Charlotte, NC for the first time. Come along as the F-units of the Aberdeen Carolina & Western head west along the original Norfolk Southern Railway mainline.
