10:33 Oopse! Safety Tip Dullcote and water based paint with weathering powder don’t mix!
If you spray Dullcote on anything water based that is wet or anything that has chalk on it your weathering will dissolve and will disappear or fade.
Dullcote contains solvent anything that is water based will dissolve if you spray that on it.
If you are using water based paint with weathering powder make sure it is dry before you spray the Dullcote on it. Also if you use weathering powder put it on heavy or use pan pastels.
Pan pastels contain a binding agent and acrylics if you spray Dullcote on them they will stick and stay there.
So for weathering if you are using pastels and water based paint don’t use dull coat it will destroy it use pan pastels and oil paints instead but make sure the paint is dry before you spray the Dullcote or you will lose your weathering.
