Welcome back to the Olympia & Sand Creek series with host David Popp. While David has been sidetracked with efforts to build the cart before the horse, now’s the time to put that tandem into its place! In this installment, you’ll see how to shape up a removable tipple scene that sits atop a plateau. When placed into this location, the horse and ore wagon form a simple, but authentic, industrial setting.

Be sure to explore the entire series, appearing exclusively on Trains.com Video!

  1. Thanks for checking, Marcus… this really is a quick return to the regularly scheduled programming of the O&SC series — although there are references to the horse/cart build featured in the Sidetrack mini-series, the scenery effort relates closer to the layout construction. The next Sidetrack episode is coming soon!

  2. Why do I get this every time I try to view a video? After 2 or 3 tries rhe video will play.

  3. In looking at that picture of the truck dumps I zoomed in and noticed that the one coal car is my P&O car I sent in to Kalmbach back in 2008 for an advertising photo shoot. Glad to see it’s still hanging around.
