I gotta have more spraybooth!
Hi David and everyone: I enjoy all of the videos that you post, but the Midday Modeler episodes are the most fun. You all seem to be having such a good time it makes me want to move to Wisconsin just to hang out with the MR staff. I imagine that there are days when work reality takes over and things aren’t quite so enjoyable, but I hope most of the time you are really having as much fun as it appears. Thanks so much.
I have had problems with suitcase connectors in trailer wiring, but not model railroad modules. I think the problem is that they are subject to corrosion when exposed to moisture.
Regarding the viewer question about screws stripping out with repeated fascia removal and reinstallation, there are threaded inserts readily available which would be permanently threaded into the framework. Machine screws are then used to attach the fascia or access panel to the frame. When properly installed, these rarely have any problems with repeated removal and reinstallation.
Hi David,
I’m so sorry to hear that the Beer Line was damaged from moving and humidity. Do you think that we could see a series on Fixing or Rehabbing the Beer Line? This is one of my favorite project layouts that you and the team have constructed and operated. It would be fun to watch a series on how to repair a layout!

Cody, when you paint all the parts before assembling a kit, like it you are doing for the station, what do you do or use to ensure solid glue seams? I’ve had mixed success with various glues, solvents & adhesives, but if I want or need a truly secure joint, I end up scraping the paint off the glue points. However, since I model in N scale, it is all too easy to remove too much and have to retouch.
Cody, no one in the room seemed to catch your joke about summer being a good time for stakes (steaks), but I thought it was pretty good. You mentioned the hidden weight on the flat car, does it match NMRA recommendations?
Regarding Olympia….once David is done with the third section, does he plan to do another Operating video. Even a series of operation on the completed Olympia would be GREAT!
