Before heading westward, our hard-drivin’ rail adventurer Tom Danneman walks and talks you around his trail-rated 4×4 truck. This time out, Tom’s son is riding shotgun, so rooftop camping is also part of the off-road trackside trek!

  1. 8:20-‘Our favorite location in the Wind River Canyon between Bridget Jct. and Laurel MT.’ That gives you about 300 miles to figure out where that spot is. I’m guessing it’s north of Thermopolis.

    1. Hi Matt, the favorite camp location I mentioned is in Wind River Canyon, where BNSF’s Casper Subdivision (which itself is in between Bridger Junction and Laurel) goes through. The canyon is between Thermopolis and Shoshoni.
