Norfolk Southern locomotive roster

Norfolk Southern's loaded grain train 46J is southbound passing Good Yard in Normal, Illinois, on the Bloomington District. Two newer GE ES44ACs, with the 8135 leading, combined with an older ES44AC, have the train well in hand as it rolls down a slight grade approaching Northtown Road on 9 February 2013. At 4400 horsepower each, the grain loads behind the drawbar are no issue for the crew today. Taken by Steve Smedley and filed in NS folder
