The one unit that exists and is on display in Montreal has no prime mover.
They had extraordinary service years on CNJ & SP commuter trains. A few frames remain from “slug” conversions, but I think greatly under-respected on the whole.
This is the first profile I’ve looked at and I’m disappointed in the lack of specifics. For example, wasn’t this the highest HP diesel at the time? Were there no positives known?
