MONTREAL — Canadian Pacific will build a new transload terminal in Montreal, with the first phase of the project to open in June 2020.
The 118,000-square-foot facility, to be operated by Quebec-based transportation and warehousing firm TYT Group, will be served by more than 4,000 feet of existing track at CP’s Cote Saint-Luc Yard. It will have the ability to handle up to 18 railcars indoors, allowing year-round protection from the elements.
“This project enhances our footprint in the Montreal area,” CP Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Offier John Brooks said in a press release, “by building capacity and expanding our ability to provide customers with value beyond rail, through trucking and transload services.”
