HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Crews are working Tuesday to clean up a derailed Norfolk Southern coal train near Woodville, about 20 miles east of Huntsville in northern Alabama.
The train derailed 26 cars on Monday morning, blocking a street in town, WHNT-TV reports.
No injuries are reported. The railroad expects to have the line reopened by Wednesday morning, according to the report, which cites a railroad supervisor on the scene.
The former Southern Railway route runs across northern Alabama, connecting Chattanooga and Memphis, Tenn.
