  1. Hey Steve I noticed you don’t paint the points on your turn outs because of conductivity
Take the turn out flip it over and solder a small wire right before the swivel thing that moves the points and bam problem of dusty points or paint on the points it won’t matter cause you have electric flowing through rails and points just a thought if you don’t quite get what I meant reach out to me and I’ll show on a video

  2. Steve, thank you for making model railroading a load of fun, and for being an entertaining, inspiration to us all! Many people don’t have a lot of time to build a layout, but in a special way you show that not only can you build one, you can also do it without breaking the bank. You take the intimidation of starting the hobby away, and that’s big. Please keep it up, and many thanks again!

  3. Hi Steve: thanks for all of your videos. From an 87-year-old regular guy who still enjoys the hobby I still learn new things from you. Thanks again.

  4. It’s My Railroad is clearly a gem on trains.com – my favorite video series! Awesome work!

  5. Great video! I really liked the entire scene and how you created it using very practical / easy to do build tips.

  6. Great modeling Steve, nice work on the elevator detail. I’ve used the Woodlands chain link fence in HO scale, lot easier in that scale to install and looks great, Thanks for your tips.

  7. Thanks for a nice video. But I find it easier to lay the fence down on a flat surface, glue it together, then after it has dried, I put it on the layout.
