  1. Awesome layout! I especially appreciate how the foreground blends into the photo backdrop.

  2. This is an addition to my previous post about this beautiful layout and the fantastic job MRVP did presenting it. Along with my love of railroads, I am also a history buff. I was fascinated with “Colorado yellow cake” winding up in Los Alamos in the first atomic bomb. I immediately looked for more info on the subject and read that the uranium for the Manhattan Project came from Shinkolobwe, Republic of the Congo. I still love that this industry was woven into this spectacular layout, but it may not have been an accurate portrayal of history. That’s OK. The layout and the video are spectacular and reinforce, “Model Railroiing is Fun,”

  3. Superb video tour. Beautiful modeling, spectacular backdrops, and I thought Greg’s narration added the crowning touch. I would like to see more layout tours done like this. 5 stars to Greg and the MRVP crew.

  4. I am honored to say Gregg is a good friend and I am one of his regular operators. I get to enjoy his amazing layout and it is just as impressive in person. This video is an awesome representation and the angles of the shoot are amazing. The video is so impressive it looks like the actual scenes in Colorado! Great job Gregg and MR Plus!

  5. Really great scenery any operation. Love the prototype structures. I thought the presentation was very professional and informative about what you are watching. Great job on the railroad and the video

  6. Beautiful in every respect! A father and sons team at our “club” (Monterey & Salinas Valley Railroad Museum) in Salinas, California have RGS No. 41 in three scales (HOn3, On30 and 2.5 Live Steam); so, naturally, I had to send this to the dad via Facebook. I have it now under Bookmarked favorites as I model standard gauge in Northwest Colorado in HO. Your scenery tips were on the spot and covered very well. Many of them will be incorporated on my layout. Well done, Sir; and, thanks for sharing this museum quality piece of your life.

  7. What wonderful program of a fantastic layout. The narration of Gregg Condon of his model RR really adds to the great photography. Layout tours of just trains running around are always a disappointment. Thank you Gregg for Sharing your beautiful RGS layout!

  8. I watched this fantastic video shortly after it was posted. Today, I was scrolling down to look for a previous email from a friend, saw the MR Video Plus email and clicked on it again! I agree with all the comments so far – what a great layout and excellent presentation! Thank you.

  9. Gregg thanks for sharing this outstanding layout with us. Love the backdrops, they give a real feeling of the vastness of Colorado.

  10. This is the BEST layout visit MRVP has ever published. The crew did an outstanding job conveying host Gregg Condon’s guided layout tour. The RGS Rico – Lizard Head modelling is worthy of an award. Thanks all.

  11. Rico, just like I remember it from my skiing days at Telluride! What an excellent model railroad, very, very impressive!

  12. Wow, wow, wow! Greg did a wonderful job. Obviously tremendous thought went into planning and execution true to the prototype. The video was top notch. Thanks for sharing this layout and the person behind it !!!!
