Hey Ben, just a thought here, but as we’ve all seen in other track plan books and in the MR track plan database, want to try adding in a computerized train or two on a future track simulation? Once you’ve produced the scale miniature locos and basic cars (plus of course the occasional caboose), they should be easy to replicate on the computer and place strategically on any track plan. Just food for thought.
Thanks Gus, I thought that looked like the silhouettes of KJ and David! Looks like some neat operating concepts incorporated into the layout.
SPA DIE NAH
Great computer simulation work Ben. Nicely done, especially the silhouettes of David and Kent, Thanks
Awesome. I grew up in Toronto and spent many days in my youth railfanning the CN and GO operations from the Spadina and Bathurst St bridges. This looks like a great layout for the Athearn GO equipment that came out a few years ago. And, thanks to John and Gerhard for noting the pronunciation of “Spadina”.
Great 3d plan of the Toronto Terminals Railway and I look forward to reading the complete description in the June MR. As someone who lives in the greater Toronto area I would like to point out that Spadina is pronounced as SPA DINAH by the locals. Look forward to more 3d Plans.
Once again Canadian place names defeat our American cousins. That should be SpaDInah as in Dinah Shore, not SpaDeena as in Dina Merrill. Great layout concept, but it’s going to upset CPR modelers.
Toronto was more CN-oriented, while Montreal was more CP.
After watching this video Iwas going to correct David on his pronunciation of Spadina, but I see that some one beat me to it. All I can say now is great video I’m looking forward reading the next MR issue
Well done Ben. You’re really getting the hang of the virtual tours. Taking over Pixar next? 🙂
Cool!
