Cody now turns his attention from the Chicago & North Western HO scale commuter cars to the locomotive used to haul them! Ride along with Cody as he works to model a GP7 featuring all of the right details and weathering effects found on a unit that saw daily service.

  1. Hi Cody,
I’ve been admiring your videos on any subject you put out.
I’m wondering what you do with the leftover 91% alcohol after you’re done with it. Do you filter it and use it over again? Or do you re-bottle it then throw it out? I’m sure many modelers would like to know what to do. Thanks.

  2. Great teaching methods Cody. I appreciate the time and effort you take explaining each step. Just checking around and I have been told that Model Master Skin tone 2002 is discontinued. Do you happen to know of something else close you could recommend?

  3. Nicely done Cody, another fine looking GP9. GP9 high hoods are my favorite diesel. As well as the year 1954, that’s the year my railroad is, modeled in.
I’m looking forward to your next project.

  4. Great detailing and weathering Cody. Remind me never to challenge you to a game or “Operation”, you are too precise with those tweezers 🙂 Thanks.

  5. Allan, I think it was a trick in editing that allowed Cody to get the shell back on so quickly.
Wonder why you didn’t change out the light bulbs for l.e.d.s?

  6. As usual Cody, very useful tips and patience is a virtue when doing this type of modeling. Was curious why you didn’t use gloves when reassembling the model after having it weathered. And how did you get the shell onto the chassis the very first time without the wiring getting crimped along the sides? Well done!
