The Mosquito Creek Lumber Co.’s lone Climax locomotive leads the “Clean-Up Train” across a low bridge over the algae-covered swamps of Louisiana. Joseph Kreiss of Fairmont, Minn., whose HO scale Big Island Rail layout was featured in the January 2012 Model Railroader, built and photographed the On30 logging scene. The engine is from Bachmann and the flatcars are converted On3 models. The bridge uses HO scale Atlas Model Railroad Co. girder.
