On this installment of Bob’s Train Box, Bob and CTT editor Hal Miller do a quick review of Lionel’s new Legacy GP30 (Read the full review in the December 2021 issue of CTT). Then Bob explains various track cleaning techniques and reveals his favorite thing to keep the rails shiny. The last stop is modern S gauge – Bob shows his collection and what’s out there today from manufacturers like Lionel, S Helper, and American Models.

So glad to see a segment on s gauge trains. I model American Flyer using all the old stuff ( sectional track, transformers, etc) and I just love it. For my layout, I have customised a number of different building kits to make houses, stores, a school and a farm – all in s gauge. The more s gauge articles and segments you can produce in both the magazine and the online magazine, the happier I’ll be!

Does anyone collect Scale-Craft Scale Model Trains? I found my dad’s old cars which are not in the best of condition. I was wondering if I should just leave them in the condition I found them or if it was worth trying to repair them? Thanks.
