Cody, I am in the process of trying to add the film to the windows and did you have problems with bubbles between the film and the window pane after you applied the film. If so, did you bother to try and eliminate all of them and just try to fix the bigger bubbles or just left them. Most of my bubbles are fairly small in size.
very handy tips thank you
Now the Empire Corp warehouse is complete roll the boxcars up to the dock and start loading. Good work Cody.
Ok. After finding Part Two, I want to say thank you for the modeling tips. I can't wait to get to the auto supply store for the tinted glazing. I wonder if they have a green tint.
The PSA looks interesting.
I wonder what other uses it has.
Very useful video. I will definitely get the PSA and the seam scraper. Thanks.
It must be nice not to have to worry about a budget.
Cody, this was one of the most useful episodes I have watched. Interestingly enough I had used the same two kits to produce my Zippo factory. I will now need to wait for a sale of the kits to upgrade and take advantage of your techniques. I often add black foam board to cover the open end of the model and avoid seeing through the building, this allows interior lighting, but I like the idea of the magnets. I agree with Robert below, I will also be adding the PSA and scraper to my workbench.
One more tip on a building like this. I added the floor to the top floor of the building and put the magnetic catches on that level. Now there's more flexibility in the rooftop design. It also allows do-overs on the mountings, something I needed! Good paint masking and brick detail tips.
I would have added some type of industrial photo backdrop prior to positioning the building. Now I need to get a bottle of that PSA mateial.
It is great to watch Cody work. I enjoy seeing the many new ideas and techniques he has in action
For someone who hasn't built a structure in many years and then never a low relief, I enjoyed learning about a few of the techniques to use. I've got a number of them to build for my own layout.
