MR’s Eric White returns to the N scale Thompson River Canyon scene to install the structures and scenery that shape our representation of a large plywood plant. Eric shows how capturing key signature elements of a scene sure beats attempting to add each and every detail.

  1. Well done Eric. Looks realistic and those Pikestuff kits just keep going on any layout in any situation. Nice scene on the layout. Thanks.

  2. Probably could have used a little less green, but the tufts do sort of resemble sagebrush. I wouldn’t try tumbleweeds, however. They may indicate the place is closed and nobody cares about getting rid of them.

  3. Another high quality video from Eric. I like the way everything is explained and detailed, the video is perfect in reinforcing the techniques he uses. Plus, in the end, it all looks great!

  4. Excellent work Eric… only saw a portion of this layout last year and hope to see the completed one tomorrow prior to Trainfest.

  5. Nicely done! Those shrubs in the photo between the buildings and the tracks are Sagebrush, scientific Latin name is Artemisia tridentata.
