Great video! An added detail would be a little bit of greenery, representing moss, on the porch roof seam. I live in the damp Northwest. Just sayin. I really like your work!
Fantastic, just fantastic!!
Hi David, great job! just a suggestion for replace the bulky clothes pins. You can small plastic clamps that are less than an inch long that work great for what you are doing. My wife does a lot of quilting and I found them at material stores like Jo Anne’s or a quilt shop. They also have great small squares and straight edges
I’m really enjoying the Log Blog since I, too, model in On30. As for the ‘company housing’, very nice, but where are the chimneys for the wood-burning stoves? Gotta have heat and/or a stove to cook on, right?!
very nice buildings
SUPERB!
as always great work !
David, great video as usual! Love the detail.
Do you know when you are going to update the operation cards?
Good work David
Good modeling David. I do have to agree with Robert, the latest house needs steps towards the pond and the skids beneath the house should show some wear and tear and tow rings. I like the porch roof and gents playing checkers, nice touches, thanks.
Beautiful work, David.
Nicely done David as you go the extra mile to add small details to catch the eye.
Another great one, David! Love what you’re doing! I’ll be sad to see when it’s finished! One thing you could add is pathways for the people to walk to and fro. That’s a really important and interesting detail. We want to see how the people really live in this wonderful world. Keep it up!
Awesome David, Thanks. I got to stop in your offices last Tuesday and tour the project railroads, offices and work spaces in person. Got to meet Steve Otte and Eric, sorry I didn’t get to meet the rest of you all. Keep on rockin!!
Great Video, David!
Hi David: I got a chuckle out of your comments about your workbench. Somewhere in my old MR magazine’s, back in the 70’s I think, and I couldn’t find it, was a short article called the”Two Square Foot Rule”. Simply put, it says that no matter how large your workbench is, you will NEVER have more than two square feet of usable work space on it. How true.
Nice. Oddly enough, part-time contributor Kathy Millat just posted a video on her You Tube channel about making and hanging laundry!
Nifty. Now, when you gonna build a set of steps to get to the upper house; and to get down from the lower house.
Think I would have used a thick black paint applied with a fine brush to define the seams between the roofing material. But not the tin roof.
I am waiting to see the installation of at least two eye bolts on top of the brow log. These would be used to attach either cables or chains under the logs (but above the car deck). That way, the logs will be “guided” toward the pond.
