  1. I probably left this same comment when this first came out.
    When planting trees on my layout, I drilled a hole the size of the tree trunk then didn’t glue any. Just in case I needed access along tracks etc. To size all the trees the same size I glued a piece tube of styrene on the base of the tree. Painted it the trunk color then put it in the pre-drilled hole. On different sized trunks I would do the same with size of styrene that fit the trunk. Then in many places glued a piece of styrene in the hole with a size that the trunk would slide into. When I needed to move a tree to access say a derailment or other train related problem, simple task to lift the tree out of the way!
    I also put a coil spring on the base of telegraph poles and disguised the spring with tall grass growing around the pole. About half of the coil spring was in the ground and the other half on the pole. If you happen to lean against the pole it will spring back into place!
    Home Depot has a package of various spring sizes for $4-$5.
